Pilcrow & The Asterism

A webcomic about the unsettling corridors of a manor where cosmic enigmas and mundane musings collide.

Panel 1

[Pilcrow is walking into a room in the Black Manor where the Asterism is sitting in an arm chair. He looks dazed. They are in their bird-headed humanoid forms of a crow and three-eyed flamingo. He is wearing a lavender shirt, and she's wearing a long orange gown.]

The Asterism: "Pilcrow, there you are! I haven't seen you in days. Where have you been?"

Panel 2

[The scene flashes back to Pilcrow as a bird in a daze as he swirls through the cosmic void in shock and alarm.]

Pilcrow (visibly shaken): "I just got back from a mental journey into the void. Felt like being hugged by the cosmos - if the cosmos had too many arms and not enough personal space. I experienced eons of its soul-crushing embrace in exchange for wisdom."

Panel 3

[The scene returns to the manor.]

The Asterism: "And what grand truth did you return with from this cosmic embrace?"

Pilcrow: "The universe uses black holes as pockets. You know, to hold snacks in for later."

Panel 4

[Pilcrow looks very overwrought and tired.]

The Asterism: "That's it?"

Pilcrow: "Yeah."

Pilcrow: "I'm, uh, going to go find a better use of my time. Like staring at a wall."
