103: Lost Lactose - June 5, 2024 (W)

Panel 1

[Pilcrow gazes into a cosmic abyss, manifested as an ophanim-like ball of black feathers with many eyes and beaks, contemplating the mysteries of the universe.]

Pilcrow: "I've been staring at this void for hours. In the vastness of this abyss lies the secrets of existence. Yet comprehension lays out of my grasp. Sigh. I might as well return home."

Panel 2

[Pilcrow returns to the Black Manor, where the Asterism is in the kitchen. They are now in their bird-headed humanoid forms of a crow and flamingo. He is wearing a tan suit over an orange turtleneck. She is wearing a formal gray dress.]

Asterism: "There you are, dear Pilcrow! Have you procured the lactose essence our coffee requires?"

Panel 3

Pilcrow: "The milk! I forgot to buy it while contemplating the great beyond."

Panel 4

The Asterism: "Enlightenment from the void isn't going to save you if my morning ritual of caffeinated wisdom isn't completed posthaste."

Pilcrow: "Eep! Right. I'll be right back!"

[Pilcrow races out of the kitchen.]
