Pilcrow & The Asterism

A webcomic about the unsettling corridors of a manor where cosmic enigmas and mundane musings collide.

It's always the last place you look. Unless you're a non-linear being, in which case finding the keys may cause a paradox.

4: Lost and Found - September 25, 2023 (M)

Panel 1:

[Pilcrow ponders while in the form of a universe of feathers, from which red and gray eyes stare.]

Pilcrow: "In a realm where presence and absence coalesce, what does it truly mean to 'misplace' something?"

Panel 2:

[The Asterism is a sphere of pink light emanating like a supernova from three pink stars with great black eyes.]

The Asterism: "Ah, Pilcrow, grappling with the temporal, I see. To 'lose' is a concept tethered to linear time. Here, all is and isn't simultaneously."

Panel 3:

[The two are now in their anthropomorphic bird forms in the Black Manor, in what looks like an entryway. Pilcrow, a crow in a mustard-colored suit with a red tie, looks irritated. The Asterism looks like a flamingo with three eyes in a gray dress.]

Pilcrow: "Very philosophical, but I still can't find the blasted keys for the car."

Panel 4:

The Asterism: "Perhaps you've been looking in the wrong dimension."

[The Asterism holds out the keys.]

Pilcrow: "Of course. Should've checked the fourth one first."
