56: Loop De Loop - January 26, 2024 (F)

Panel 1

[The Asterism's three-eyed flamingo head is extended on her neck which stretches through all four panels in a loop, with her head properly in the first panel. She is openly irritated at Pilcrow, who is in his crow-headed humanoid form wearing his red flannel shirt and jeans, and tinkering on the insides of a grandfather clock in the Black Manor. Purple arrows point between the panels, indicating they're to be read in a circular pattern leading back to the first.]

The Asterism: "If we loop through this day one more time, I'm starting to root for oblivion. Pilcrow, please stop working on the manor clock!"

Sound Effect: "TINKER"

Panel 2

Pilcrow: "Loop? Don't sweat it, my dear companion. I was tinkering with the clock to make sure it accurately rings out for tea time."

Sound Effect: "RATCHET"

Panel 3

Pilcrow: "While I'm in here I'll just make a little calibration here, and we'll step out any cyclic conundrums."

Sound Effect: "KA-CHUNK"

Panel 4

[The world becomes stained in multiple overlapping layers of color as time winds backwards, with Pilcrow reversing his speech as time resets.]

Pilcrow: "Smurdnunoc cilcyc yna tuo pets ll'ew dna, ereh noitarbilac elttil a ekam tsuj ll'I ereh ni m'I elihw. Emit aet rof tuo sgnir yletarucca ti erus ekam ot kcolc eht htiw gnireknit saw I. Noinapmoc raed ym, ti taews t'nod. Pool?"

The Asterism: "Sigh, here we go again."
