Panel 1

[Pilcrow and the Asterism are standing in the attic of the Black Manor in their bird-headed humanoid forms of a crow and three-eyed flamingo. Pilcrow is wearing a tan suit over a dark orange turtleneck, and the Asterism is wearing a comfortable over-sized off-white sweater over jeans.]

Pilcrow: "Today's lesson: human emotions! First, one of the most primitive yet most important. Humans highly value the experience of laughter."

Panel 2

[The view shifts to a pink star exploding like a supernova in place, with the Asterism's three star-eyes superimposed on the scene.]

The Asterism: "Laughter? Like the response from the masses of a world watching their star explode?"

Panel 3

[The view returns to the Black Manor, close up on Pilcrow's face where he is shocked.]

Pilcrow (looking dismayed): "Uh... No. It's like the joy from simple things!"

Panel 4

The Asterism: "Oh! Like a black hole devouring a star system, the eradication of life by an unexpected gamma burst, or the collision of entire galaxies?"

Pilcrow (dumbfounded): "... Let's start with something simpler, like terror."
